Matthew Martin Named a Capital One Division II Academic All-American

CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College senior tennis player Matthew Martin has been named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-America® Division II Men's At-Large team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA).

Martin (Laurel, Miss.) wrapped up a stellar four-year career at MC with a 4.0 grade-point-average in Biology Medical Sciences. He was one of just six student-athletes on the All-America teams to maintain a perfect GPA.

Matthew also had an outstanding career on the court, going 40-23 in singles and 42-25 in doubles matches.

Martin was also named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team in 2014 and 2015.

The Capital One Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2014-15 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
 
The Capital One Academic All-America® Division II Men's At-Large program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, water polo and wrestling.
