JACKSON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College baseball team will play their fourth game in three days when they travel across town to face Millsaps at 6:00 p.m. at Twenty Field.
Since 1977, the Choctaws and the Majors have met 73 times with MC holding a 43-30 edge in the series. They played a three-game set over the course of 2014 with Millsaps coming away with two victories, while MC won the final meeting in Clinton, 10-8.
The Choctaws (12-30) come into the mid-week contest off a three-game sweep at home against North Alabama this weekend. Prior to that, they had taken 1-of-3 games from rival Delta State, winning in walk-off fashion an RBI single from sophomore
Austin Warkentin.
Freshman
Kyle Smith (.351) comes into the game as the team's leading hitter, followed closely by sophomore
Hunter Bolin (.342). The two have combined for 17 of the team's 44 stolen bases and have scored 36 total runs.
Junior
Caleb Upton (.324) leads the team with five home runs and 29 RBI, also drawing a team-leading 20 walks. Junior
Colton Caver (.301) has tallied a team-high 12 doubles and 29 runs scored.

Kyle Cumlander will likely get the nod on the mound on Tuesday night. The Mobile native is 2-5 with a 6.69 ERA but has been solid in his last three outings, including a win in a game over Spring Hill.
The Majors (25-10) are currently ranked 17th in the most recent D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll and have been as high as 10th this season. They come into Tuesday's game, however, off a three-game sweep at Rhodes College, dropping two 1-run games.
Isaac Glenn (.438) is the team's leading hitter and RBI man with 42 runs batted in. Keith Shumaker (.418) leads the team with 46 runs scored, while William Chenoweth (.368) leads the team with 16 doubles, five home runs and 12 stolen bases.
As a team, the Majors have posted a 3.79 ERA with Shumaker leading the way at 8-1 with a 2.31 ERA.
The Choctaws will close out their season this coming weekend when they travel to Valdosta State for a three-game set. Millsaps will host the opening round of the Southern Athletic Association Tournament this weekend at Twenty Field.
