CLEVELAND, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team went 17-of-50 (34%) from the field in a 74-53 loss to Lee University on Thursday night in the Paul Dana Walker Arena.
The Lady Choctaws (8-16, 4-16 GSC) took a 9-8 lead with 16:30 reamining in the first half when junior
Ashley Minor nailed two free throws. The Natchez native went 9-of-10 from the foul line and scored 18 points with six steals to lead MC.
The Lady Flames (15-8, 12-8 GSC) would regain the lead on the next possession and not relinquish the advantage the rest of the night as they took a 42-23 lead into halftime. They took their largest lead of the game at 60-30 with 12:41 remaining and finished off the season sweep of the Lady Choctaws.

AnnMarie Harris also scored in double-figures with 11 points apiece, while Harris had a team-high six rebounds.
Emileigh Swafford scored a game-high 24 points, going 7-of-18 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. Shelby Brown scored 18 points with seven rebounds, while Erin Walsh had 14 points.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Rome, Ga. to face Shorter University at 1:00 pm (Central).
