The Choctaws won their fourth straight game with a 76-73 victory over North Alabama on Thursday night. The Lions took a 13-point lead to open the second half, but a 22-6 run by the Choctaws put them back ahead. The game was close the rest of the way, but MC went 4-of-4 from the free throw line in the final 24 seconds to clinch the win. Rice set a new MC single-season record with his 13th double-dobule, scoring 23 points with a season-high 16 rebounds.
Freshman

Led by 18th-year head coach Lennie Acuff, the Chargers are in a three-way tie for first place in the Gulf South Conference. The top seven spots in the league are just two games apart with four games to go, so the Chargers still have much to play for down the stretch. The Chargers are led in scoring by Seab Webster (16.5 ppg), who is shooting 44% from the field and 36% from the three-point line. Preston Herring is averaging 12.9 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 66% from the field. Ronnie Mack averages 11.5 points per game and is 63-of-187 (34%) from the three-point line this season.
