CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision against the University of North Alabama on Saturday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. The loss moved MC to 2-14 on the season and 2-7 in the conference. UNA improved to 13-3 and 7-1 in the GSC.
The trio of
Jamila Biglow,
Jenna Campbell and
Kayana Mitchell led the Lady Choctaws with four kills each in the three sets.
Bailee Berringer dished out a team-best 10 assists in the match. Defensively,
Jessica Olienyk garnered four digs to lead the team while Biglow added a team-best two blocks, both solos.
Lexie Bradley paced the Lions offensive attack with 15 kills for a .667 attack percentage. Andrea De Leon set up the Purple and Gold offensive attack with 32 assists. Ashtyn Kapovich recorded 11 digs.
UNA posted an impressive offensive attack for the three sets, which included a season-high .400 attack percentage for the contest. MC totaled a .076 clip offensively.
Mississippi College returns to action on Friday, Oct. 9 at Shorter University. Match time is slated for 5 p.m. central.
