CLEVELAND, Tenn. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team dropped a 3-1, Gulf South Conference affair at Lee University on Saturday afternoon. After claiming the first set 25-19, MC fell in three straight sets (17-25, 18-25, 17-25) to the Flames.
Jenna Campbell led the Blue and Gold with nine kills while
Jamila Biglow added eight kills.
Bailee Berringer dished out a team-best 21 assists in the four sets.
Defensively,
Madison Kimes and
Alex Hackett each garnered double-digit digs in the match. Kimes compiled a team-leading 21 digs while Hackett recorded 13 on the afternoon.
MC compiled a .154 attack percentage in the four sets, including a season-high .333-clip in the first set. LU attacked for .238 on the afternoon.
Silvia Sartori led the Flames with 16 kills while Hillary Hoffpauir and Haley Foote tied for a team-best 17 assists. Hillary Hoffpauir added 17 digs while Emily Philpott registered eight blocks.
Mississippi State returns to action on Monday, Oct. 12 against Valdosta State. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
