CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball team held a lead for nearly 30 minutes of the game, but Christian Brothers hit a last-second three-pointer to pick up a 54-54 victory on Thursday night in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
The Lady Choctaws (8-10, 4-10 GSC) took a 48-48 lead with 7:15 remaining on a layup by sophomore
Shaniqua Love, but they would be held scoreless until there were 55 seconds remaining when junior
Kristen Sampson's layup gave MC a 50-48 lead.

Allie Hill knocked down two free throws to put MC ahead 52-50, but after a CBU free throw, Rachel Lee hit her fifth three-pointer of the night with :01.3 remaining to win the game for the Lady Bucs (6-14, 4-10 GSC).

Ashley Minor led MC with 10 points, while Hill had nine and sophomore
Mollie Blair posted eight. The Lady Choctaws outrebounded CBU, 35-30, but only shot 37% (17-of-46) from the field in the loss.
Taylor Pugh led all scorers with 17 points for CBU. Lee had 15 points, while Breanna Ridgell had 14. The Lady Bucs shot 40% (21-of-53) from the field, but went 13-of-25 in the second half to erase a 28-23 halftime deficit.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Saturday when they host Union at 2:00 p.m. in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
