VALDOSTA, Ga. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team fell in three sets to Valdosta State University on Friday night.
The Lady Choctaws (5-24, 0-19 GSC) could not overcome early leads by the Blazers (20-7, 15-4 GSC) in the first and second sets, dropping both by a score of 25-14. In the third set, MC would grab a 10-9 advantage, but VSU would bounce back with the 25-23 victory to clinch the match.

Krista Zieschang led MC with 10 kills as the Lady Choctaws hit at a .226 clip in the final set. Freshman
Sydney Chandler had a team-high 10 assists, while freshman
Asilynn DeSilvey had nine. Senior
Nicole Horton had a team-high eight digs, while freshman
Kayana Mitchell had two service aces.
Jenna Kirkwood paced the Blazers with eight kills, while Jessica Codato had 26 assists and five service aces.
The Lady Choctaws will close out the 2014 season on Saturday when they face West Florida at 6:00 p.m. in Pensacola.
