PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team wrapped up the 2014 season on Saturday night with a three-set loss to the University of West Florida at the UWF Field House.
The Lady Choctaws (5-25, 0-20 GSC) struggled through their first season in the Gulf South Conference but came out battling on Saturday as they fought back from an early deficit to trail just 18-16 in the first set. The Argonauts (24-6, 17-3 GSC) would win seven of the next eight points to take the set, 25-17. UWF would jump out to big leads early in the next two sets, winning 25-12 and 25-13 to take the match.
It was the final match for senior
Holly Tupper, who closed out her career by starting all 122 matches in her four seasons. She's MC's all-time leader with 1,825 digs after tallying eight on Saturday night. The Baton Rouge native had a profound impact on the MC volleyball program and will be missed tremendously.

Ashton King led the team with five kills, while freshman
Krista Zieschang, sophomore
Kasie Lennon and freshman
Taylor Edwards each had four. Freshman
Sydney Chandler led the team with 12 assists, while Lennon had four block assists.
Sarah Scott led all players with 15 kills, while Katy Kuhlmeier had 14. Monique StCyr had 18 assists, while Kuhlmeier had 11 digs and Tory Martella had 10.
The Argos will move on to the GSC Tournament next weekend, hosted by Shorter University.
