CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team will wrap up the 2014 season this weekend with road matches against Valdosta State and West Florida. MC will play VSU on Friday at 5:00 p.m. (CT) and UWF on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. (CT). Live stats and live video are available for both matches.
The Lady Choctaws (5-23, 0-18 GSC) got off to a quick start this season with four straight victories, but they have struggled in their first season of Gulf South Conference play. MC dropped a couple of four-set matches to Alabama Huntsville and West Georgia last weekend in their final home contests of the year.
Senior
Holly Tupper will close out a stellar four-year career this weekend after starting all 120 matches since 2011. The Baton Rouge, La. native is MC's all-time leader with 1,809 digs, including having the second-best single-season mark with 495 last season. So far this season, she has posted 380 digs, including a season-high 28 against Lee University on September 19th.

Krista Zieschang has a team-high 209 kills on 691 attempts. Freshmen

Taylor Edwards (115) are also in triple-digits in kills this season.

Sydney Chandler has 438 assists to lead the team, while sophomore
Meredith Williams has posted 287 helpers. Edwards leads the team with 38 service aces, followed by Tupper with 25 and Mitchell with 22. Mitchell also leads the team with 60 blocks, while Zieschang has 26 and freshman
Madison Girndt has 24.
The Blazers (19-7, 13-4 GSC) have won five of their last six matches with the only loss coming on the road against Christian Brothers. VSU is 11-0 at home this season, including winning all seven league contests in Valdosta, Ga.
Jenna Kirkwood has a team-high 329 kills, while Lea Jaklen has posted 249. Jessica Codato has 958 assists on the season with no one else on the squad in triple-digits. Ashley Lala has a team-high 443 digs, while Destiny Berry leads the way with 115 total blocks.
The Argonauts (22-6, 15-3 GSC) have won five straight matches and are 9-0 in Pensacola this season. UWF dropped four of five matches from October 16-21, but have bounced back with the five straight victories.
Cora Bidlack leads the team with 217 kills, followed by Corisha Smith with 181. Monique StCyr is the team-leader with 736 assists, while KC Dobbins has 359. Tori Martella leads the team with 295 digs, followed by Colleen Starrs with 290, while Sarah Scott has a team-high 84 blocks.
