CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College women's basketball improved to 4-0 with a 60-52 victory over Selma University in the FCA & Zaxby's Tip-Off Classic on Saturday afternoon in A.E. Wood Coliseum.
The Lady Choctaws and the Lady Bulldogs squared off on Tuesday night, but Saturday's contest was a much tougher test as Selma took a 27-26 lead into the halftime break. MC shot on 36% (22-of-61) from the floor and kept their opponents in the game by making only 13-of-31 from the free throw line.
In the second half, the Lady Choctaws took the lead back, but Caitland Henry made back-to-back three-pointers for Selma, giving them their largest lead of the game at 33-31. The teams would trade baskets until MC pulled away, grabbing their largest advantage of the game at 58-47 with 1:07 remaining.

Allie Hill each led the way with 10 rebounds, while junior
Deizarae McCoy had a team-high 12 rebounds in the contest. Hill and senior
Jaianah Matthew each had four assists as the Lady Choctaws had 10 helpers on 22 baskets.
Henry led the offensive attack for Selma with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Jasmine Frazier (11 pts.) and Erica Stanley (10 pts.) were also in double-figures.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Thursday, December 4th when they open Gulf South Conference play at home against West Alabama at 6:00 p.m.
