ROME, Ga. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team fell in three sets to GSC-leading Shorter University on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Choctaws (5-20, 0-15 GSC) dropped the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-12, before putting up a fight to fall 25-22 in the third set to the Lady Hawks (17-3, 14-1 GSC).
Freshman
Krista Zieschang led MC with seven kills, while freshman
Sydney Chandler had a team-high 13 assists. Senior
Holly Tupper had a team-high 16 digs, while Chandler posted 11.
The Hawks were led by Tiffani Estep with nine kills, while Dena Pierce had 21 assists and Cheyenne Frady had 15.
The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to Memphis to face Christian Brothers at 7:00 p.m.
