Freshman Brandon Boston (Pearl, Miss.) has been named the MC Wright & Ferguson Athlete of the Week after having a career-week in the first two starts of his young tenure with the Choctaws.

Boston averaged 14.0 points, shooting 50% (10-20) from the field and 80% (8-10) from the foul line in road losses at Lee and Shorter. On Thursday night against Lee, the rookie scored a team-high 13 points with five rebounds. In Saturday's game against Shorter, Boston scored a career-high 15 points, going 7-of-9 from the field.

On the season, Boston is now averaging 10.5 points per game and shooting 55% from the floor.

The Choctaws will be back in action on Thursday, December 29th when they travel to Hattiesburg to face William Carey.
