Govero (Clinton, Miss.) claimed five titles in the Gulf South Conference Track and Field Championship Invitational.  Govero won the women's heptathlon with a total of 4,809 points. She had a time of 1:06.31 in the 400 meter hurdles to take the title. Govero placed first in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.77. She also helped contribute to a second place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:56.51.

In the field events, Govero, posted a distance of 33.11 meters to win the javelin. Govero also took the title in the high jump with a height of 1.68 meters.
