The Mississippi College softball team swept the doubleheader against William Carey University on Thursday. Freshman Alexia Harmon (Madison, Miss.) went 4-for-7 in the double header with two runs and one RBI.

On Saturday in the doublheader against rival Delta State, Harmon went 5-for-8 with one run and one RBI. Harmon pitched 4.0 innings in the second game against DSU with three strikeouts and allowing just two earned runs.

Harmon had a .500 batting average on the week with nine hits, three runs, and two RBI’s.

So far this season, Harmon leads the team with a .452 batting average and 14 hits on the season.

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action on Wednesday as they host Miles College with the doubleheader set to start at 3:00 p.m.
