Junior Kendall Carballo (San Jose, Costa Rica) had an incredible game against Louisiana College on Thursday afternoon at Longabaugh Field as he recorded two goals with three assists to lead the Choctaws to an 8-0 victory.
MC got on the board early as Carballo passed it off to junior Conor Corboy (Aptos, Calif.) who hit the back of the net in the sixth minute of play. Soon after in the 31st minute senior Daniel Lang (Jackson, Miss.) served the ball to Carballo who put in his third goal of the season. Jorge Delgado (Juarez, Mexico) recorded a goal in the 41st minute off assists from sophomore Morgan Roberson (Brandon, Miss.) and Carballo to go into the half 4-0.Carballo then scored again in the 56th minute off an assist by Ewahia Amhanesi (Mesquite, Texas) to record his fourth goal of the season and second of the game. Junior Victor Marinho (Sao Paulo, Brazil) scored in the 87th minute of play off Carballo's third helper of the game.
The Choctaws will be back in action today as they host LSU-Alexandria to be played at 3:30 p.m. at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.
