Sophomore running back Chris Blanton paved the way to a 42-34 victory over Louisiana College on Saturday night in Pineville, LA.  Blanton broke two records en route to the win.  His five rushing touchdowns placed him first in MC history in rushing touchdowns and overall touchdowns. 

Blanton carried the ball 27 times for 168 yards and five touchdowns in the win.  His most important score may have been the last one, as Louisiana College was making their comeback.  The touchdown run ended up being the scoring difference in the game.

Blanton is averaging 137 yards a game over his last three games.  In those three games, the Georgia native has eclipsed the century mark in each.

The Choctaws are travelling to his home state of Georgia to face LaGrange on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. CST.
