Freshman libero Amanda Greene was named ASC East Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts last week for the Mississippi College volleyball team.  The Lady Choctaws finished the week 2-3 with a big five-game match win over cross-town rival Millsaps.

The Alabaster, AL native paced the team with 94 digs in the five matches last week.  In the win over Millsaps, Greene had 26 digs to lead the team.  The former Thompson High School standout also had a team-high 10 service aces during the week.

The Lady Choctaws will be on display next against LeTourneau at A.E. Wood Coliseum on Friday night at 6:00 p.m.
