The Mississippi College women's track and field team opened up their 2014-2015 season on Friday at the BSC Ice Breaker in Birmingham, Ala. 

Senior Jessica Hodges (Huntington Beach, Calif.) took second in the pole vault event. Last season, Hodges placed 4th in the NCCAA championships in Pole Vault.

The Lady Choctaws will be back in action in 2015 when they travel back to Birmingham, Ala. to compete in the UAB Blazer Invitational on January 8th and 9th.
