Blaine Crim posted a .900 batting average as the sophomore went 9-for-10, including a streak of eight consecutive hits. Crim became the first Choctaw to a record a five-hit performance this season, including three doubles and a home run, as he led MC to a 10-3 win in the opening game of the series while totaling five RBI. The win secured a berth in the GSC Tournament for the Navy and Gold. It’s the first appearance in the GSC Tournament since 1996 and the first postseason berth since 2012. The Mobile, Ala., native also tallied an intentional walk in his first trip to the plate in the final game of the series. Crim recorded a .909 on-base percentage and a 1.600 slugging clip for the weekend.

Crim leads the team with a .356 batting average, a .577 slugging percentage and 40 RBI this season while his eight home runs are tied for tops on the team. His 53 hits are second most on the team while his nine doubles are third on the squad.
