Junior Trai James has been named Mississippi College Renasant Bank Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday (Dec. 18).
James (Huntsville, Ala.) has season-highs in points (10), rebounds (7) and assists (7) in a loss to Christian Brothers on Monday night. He also put up eight points with three rebounds and two helpers against Delta State.
On the week, James averaged 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists. On the season, he is shooting 54% from the floor and 39% from the three-point line, earning five straight starts going into 2019.
James and the Choctaws will be back in action on January 5th, 2019 when they travel to Carrollton, Ga. to face West Georgia.
