Junior Blaine Crim has been named Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Male Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Monday (April 30).
Crim (Mobile, Ala.) went 4-for-10 with four RBI, a home run, a double and two runs scored. In MC's 6-3 win over Delta State, he hit a three-run home run that would prove to be the difference in the victory over the #3 team in Division II.
On the season, Crim leads the Choctaws with a .372 batting average, 10 home runs, 64 hits and 52 RBI. He also leads the team with a .628 slugging percentage and is second with 40 runs scored.
Crim and the Choctaws will now turn their attention to the GSC Tournament where they will be the #4 seed. MC will open things on Saturday with North Alabama at 10:00 a.m.
