CLINTON, Miss. --- The Mississippi College baseball team entered the latest edition of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 Poll as the Choctaws checked in No. 25, as announced by the organization on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
 
MC stands as the lone Gulf South Conference member in the publication's ranking. The Navy and Gold started the 2020 record with a 6-3 mark and swept the University of West Alabama in the conference-opening weekend in Clinton.
 
Mississippi College stands as just one of four teams from the NCAA Division II South Region in the poll as Sunshine State Conference members Florida Southern (No. 5), Tampa (No. 7) and Barry (No. 15) all check in.
 
The Choctaws host Quincy (Ill.) University this weekend in a three-game series. The weekend slate opens on Saturday, Feb. 22 with a doubleheader. The series finale is marked for Sunday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. both days.
