Lydia Paulette

Lydia Paulette joins the Mississippi College volleyball staff as a graduate assistant coach following one of the most decorated playing careers in program history. A three-time All-Gulf South Conference First Team honoree (2022-24) and two-time AVCA All-American Honorable Mention selection (2023-24), Paulette graduated as the Choctaws’ all-time leader in kills (1,368) and points (1,598.0) while also ranking in the program’s top ten for service aces, block assists, and sets played.

During her senior season in 2024, she set single-match school records for kills (25) and points (28.5), led the GSC in kills (433) and points (497.5), and helped the Choctaws reach the conference tournament for the fourth straight year. Across her four-year career, Paulette was a consistent offensive leader and versatile contributor, earning multiple All-Region honors from both the AVCA and D2CCA.

A native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Paulette prepped at Northridge High School, where she was named The Tuscaloosa News Volleyball Super Athlete of the Year and the USA Today High School Sports Award Female Honoree for Alabama Volleyball in 2020-21. She earned numerous all-area and all-tournament honors in both volleyball and basketball while excelling academically as a member of the National Honor Society and multiple honor societies.
