Mike Fairfax

Mike Fairfax

Mike Fairfax is in his second year as the Associate Head Track and Field Coach at Mississippi College, where he oversees the sprinter, jumpers, and hurdlers. In his first year, Fairfax played a key role in guiding both the men’s and women’s teams to 4th place finishes at the Gulf South Indoor Conference Championships and 3rd place finishes at the Outdoor Championships. Fairfax’s impact was immediate, contributing to the program’s competitive rise and athlete development across his coaching disciplines.

Coaching Philosophy

“My coaching philosophy is to help develop young men and women into who Christ has created and saved them to be. Our sport is so much more than running, jumping, hurdling etc. It shows you who you are, what you are made of. It exploits your weakness and amplifies your strengths. I have the opportunity to help these student athletes grow, on and off the track. My goal is to help them realize the gift they have been given and how we can honor God by using that gift to do incredible things.”
