Former Lady Choctaw Alexus Stirgus returns to Mississippi College in 2018 as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team.
Stirgus played for Mississippi College from 2012-14 after a successful two seasons at Copiah Lincoln Community College. She averaged 12.2 points 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game during her time in Clinton. She helped lead Copiah Lincoln to the state title and a regional championship.
The Vicksburg, Miss., native comes returns home after serving as an assistant coach at Clinton High School for the last three seasons. She helped lead the Lady Arrows to the playoffs two of the three seasons.
Stirgus received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in December 2014 from Mississippi College.
