Jonathan Farschian enters his first season as the men’s graduate assistant coach for the Choctaws, joining Head Coach Randy Bolden’s staff in August 2024. A native of Southern California, Farschian brings a wealth of experience from his previous coaching roles.
Before arriving in Clinton, Farschian served as a boys' varsity basketball assistant coach at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, CA, from 2022 to 2024. During his time with the Lions, he focused on scouting opposing teams and handling all film responsibilities. His contributions were instrumental in the team's success, including winning the Western League title, reaching the CIF CITY Open Division Championship game, and advancing to the Division I State playoffs in 2023.
Prior to his tenure at Fairfax, Farschian spent a year at Scotland Prep in Pennsylvania as an assistant coach and assistant director of operations under legendary prep school coach Chris Chaney. During the 2021-2022 season, Scotland Prep produced nine Division I players, won the GAC Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championships, ranked as high as #7 nationally, and reached the semifinals of the National Prep School Championship.
Farschian's coaching journey began in his hometown of Santa Clarita, CA, where he spent a year as a boys' JV and varsity assistant coach at West Ranch High School.
Farschian graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University in May 2020.
