Trace Hamby joins the Choctaw baseball staff for the 2020 season after playing in seven games during the 2019 campaign.
Prior to his time in Clinton, Hamby played two seasons at Meridian Community College, where he stole 19 bases along with two doubles and a homerun while hitting .312. He played high school baseball at nearby Madison Central High School, where he hit .305 and was named most athletic and named a Power Showcase All-American. Hamby also played football for the Jaguars, where he earned second team all-district honors.
Hamby is majoring in Sports Management at Mississippi College.
