MADISON, Miss. – The team of Chess Woods, Mark Culbertson, Brad Fowler, and BJ Thompson delivered a dominant showing on Friday afternoon at Lake Caroline Golf Club, firing a 51 (−21) to win the Championship Flight of the third round at the 2025 MC Athletics Golf Tournament.
Finishing just one stroke back with an equally impressive 52 (−20), Mike Brown, Austin Brown, Danny McDill, and Charlie Keaton took home second place in the top flight.
In the First Flight, the foursome of Michael Jones, Amy Jones, Zach Jones, and Ben Strain posted a strong 61 (−11) to claim first-place honors. Tying for the top score but finishing second via scorecard tiebreak, Gueth Braddock, Chandler Tinkler, Darryl Lonabaugh, and Eric Wood also recorded a 61 (−11).
The Friday afternoon round capped off Day 2 of the tournament, highlighting competitive play and continued support for Mississippi College Athletics.
