ATLANTA, Ga. --- — The Mississippi College track and field program delivered one of its most complete performances of the season at the Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend, breaking multiple school records and posting several nationally ranked times and marks at George C. Griffin Track.
Friday Highlights – Day One
The Choctaws opened the meet with strong efforts in both track and field events.

James Miller set a school record in the men's hammer throw, launching a personal-best 53.28 meters (174 feet, 10 inches) to place 12th. His mark currently ranks first in the Gulf South Conference.

Katie Gates clocked a personal-best 14.68 seconds in the women's 100-meter hurdles, while Madison Flugence ran a 14.72. Both earned top-50 finishes among a deep field.

In the women's 100-meter dash, Alana Green ran a strong 12.02 to finish 21st, while Livia Fischer crossed in 12.29.

Damone Daniels posted a 10.84 in the men's 100 meters.

Kennedy Thompson threw 11.26 meters (36-11½) in the women's shot put, leading the way for MC.

In the men's shot put, Bryan Puckett placed 12th with a top mark of 15.48 meters (50-9½), and Steven Conrad hit 13.91 meters (45-7¾).
Saturday Highlights – Day Two
Saturday featured a slate of impressive performances, headlined by national-level relay and hurdle marks:

The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Samuel Hodson, Matias Vasquez, Evan Wrights, and Oliver Ollesch finished second overall with a blazing time of 3:08.59 — the top time in the GSC and the No. 2 mark in Division II this season.

The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Fischer, Noeli Klassen, Green, and Hilary Udechukwu ran 3:51.55, recording the second-fastest time in school history.

Oliver Ollesch broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles, running 51.41 to finish third. The junior now ranks No. 1 in the GSC and No. 9 nationally in Division II.

Matias Vasquez also impressed in the 400m hurdles, running 52.55, placing him third in the GSC and No. 20 in DII.

Shana Sellers posted a 16-second personal best in the women's 3,000m steeplechase.

The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Fischer, Jakayla Jackson, Ann Cobb, and Green ran a season-best 47.25.

Madison Flugence set a personal best in the women's 200m with a time of 25.91.

The men's 800-meter was loaded with MC athletes, including strong races from Cole Benoit, Sidney Stegall, Brock Kelly, Carson Smith, and Samuel Hodson.

In the men's discus throw, Steven Conrad and Christopher Garcia-Cloud represented MC in separate flights.

In the women's discus, Rebekah Zweerink and Kennedy Thompson competed across two flights.
The Choctaws left Atlanta with multiple GSC-leading performances, school records, and national rankings as the postseason approaches.
