Linus Doverfors and senior
Jeffrey Lebeau lead Mississippi College during the second round of the 2025 Gulf South Conference Men's Golf Championship on Friday, April 18 at Tunica National Golf & Tennis Club.
Despite challenging scoring conditions, Doverfors continued to anchor the lineup with a two-day total of 156 (+12), following up his opening-round 74 with an 82 on Friday. The Sweden native remains in the top third of the field, tied for 29th overall heading into Saturday's final round. He led MC in birdies across both rounds.
Lebeau provided one of the bright spots for Mississippi College in round two, carding a 78 (+6) —an eight-shot improvement from his first-round 86. The senior's rebound round included a composed front-nine 37 and steady play down the stretch.
Owen Wallace, who posted a 76 in the opening round, added an 88 on Friday.
Alexander Topgaard (91) and
Caleb Butler (90) rounded out the scoring for MC, which sits in ninth place overall with a team score of 637 (+61).
No. 2 West Florida remains in the lead firing a four-under in the opening two rounds. Delta State (+24) and Lee (+26) round out the top three spots.
The final round tees off Saturday morning.
