CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College wrapped up its 2024-25 season on Saturday, falling 93-77 to Delta State in Gulf South Conference action at A.E. Wood Coliseum.
The Choctaws (8-20, 4-18 GSC) faced an uphill battle early as Delta State (16-12, 12-10 GSC) built a 44-28 halftime lead behind an efficient shooting performance. The Statesmen shot 50% from the field and 52.6% from three-point range in the first half, setting the tone for the game.
Rashad Bolden led Mississippi College with 23 points, shooting 7-of-14 from the floor and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line while adding seven rebounds. Tremaine Dixon contributed 14 points, knocking down three three-pointers, while Tyshun Briscoe added 11 points. Amari George and Skylen Williams each chipped in eight points, with Williams collecting six rebounds.
Delta State had four players score in double figures, led by Chris Terrell's 22 points. Keithean Brooks recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while JeMarion Westbrook added 19 points. Bryce Clayton knocked down five three-pointers to finish with 17 points.
Mississippi College responded with a strong second half, shooting 64.5% from the field and 66.7% from deep, but Delta State maintained its lead to close out the game.
The Choctaws now turn their attention to the offseason, looking to build for the future.
