TYLER, Texas — The Mississippi College tennis teams wrapped up a competitive Sunday at the TJC Murphy Tennis Center, with the No. 19 Lady Choctaws earning a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Lubbock Christian, while the No. 17-ranked men's team fell just short in a 4-3 battle.

Mississippi College (4-2) started strong in doubles, with Alex Blanchard and Alvaro Saint Martin securing a 7-6 (5) victory at No. 1. However, Lubbock Christian claimed wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to take the doubles point.
In singles, Blanchard dominated at No. 1, winning 7-6, 6-0, while Saint Martin cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3. Rafael Sabio battled to a three-set win at No. 4, but Lubbock Christian secured victories at No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 to clinch the 4-3 team win.
Women's Match Recap
The Lady Choctaws (6-1) bounced back from a doubles deficit to edge Lubbock Christian 4-3. Emma Roberts and Ana Julissa De Mata Rodríguez captured a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, but LCU secured wins at No. 2 and No. 3 to claim the point.
Roberts delivered a clutch three-set victory at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, while Ricio Martinez (7-5, 6-3) and Katharina Weber (6-1, 3-6, 6-1) earned crucial wins at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Alizée Ripolles clinched the match for MC with a 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 5.
