NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. ---Â The 19th-ranked Mississippi College women's tennis team remained undefeated, improving to 4-0 on the season with a strong road victory over Arkansas Tech (0-2) on Monday afternoon at Burns Park Tennis Center.
MC set the tone early, sweeping doubles play with key wins from Emma Roberts and Ana Julissa De Mata Rodriguez at No. 1, Ricio Martinez and Katharina Weber at No. 2, and Alizee Ripolles and Ann Cabot Stockett in a hard-fought tiebreaker at No. 3.
In singles action, Roberts dominated at No. 1 with a commanding 6-2, 6-0 win, while Ripolles and Anna Hudson secured straight-set victories at No. 5 and No. 6. Weber added another point for MC after her opponent retired in the third set.
With the win, the Choctaws remain unbeaten heading into their next matchup on Friday, Feb. 21, against UT Tyler in Tyler, Texas. First serve is set for 9 a.m. CT.
