The decisive goal came in the first half, leading to a shutout performance by Mississippi College's defense, which limited Trevecca Nazarene to just two shots on goal. The Choctaws' goalkeeper recorded no saves as the defense effectively stifled Trevecca Nazarene's offensive efforts.
The first half commenced with Mississippi College asserting early pressure, evident from an initial shot by
Erin Stamatopoulos within the first minute. Mississippi College maintained their offensive push, leading to a goal by
Charlie Cooper in the 9th minute to take an early lead.
As the half progressed, The Blue and Gold continued to generate opportunities, including shots from Amelie Spandet Wittenkamp and
Faith Clark. Despite these attempts, Trevecca Nazarene's goalkeeper Bailie Fiore made a crucial save against a shot by
