LIVINGSTON, Ala. — MC (7-1-4, 5-0-2) secured a 1-0 victory over West Alabama (5-5-2, 5-3-1) at the UWA Track and Soccer Complex, with the lone goal occurring in the second half.
The first half began with Mississippi College establishing a solid defensive presence.
Alvaro Pena had a notable attempt in the 19th minute, but it was saved by West Alabama's goalkeeper, Charlie Walker.
Cole Turner contributed significantly to maintaining the scoreline, saving a bottom-center shot from Harrison Page in the 27th minute.
MC continued to press forward, with
Patrick Vukoje and
Sergio Garrido both taking shots, though they were unable to find the back of the net. Pena's final attempt in the closing moments was saved by Walker, leaving the score at 0-0 as the half concluded.
The second half began with The Blue and Gold taking the lead in the 47th minute when
