MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team claimed its second consecutive Gulf South Conference match as it swept Auburn University at Montgomery on Saturday, Sept. 28. MC improved to 4-6 on the season and 2-1 in league play.

The victory over the Warhawks marked the four in a row on their home floor and the seventh straight during the regular season.

Lydia Paulette paced the Blue and Gold in kills as she collected 12 over the three sets. The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native has 12 straight contests with double figure kills and 58 for her career.
Mary Grace Foster provided seven for second most on the team – one off her season-high and two of her career best.

Ali Wiggins and
Caylin Pixley garnered double figure assists each in the match. Wiggins dished a team best 17 while Pixley added 14 dimes.

On the defensive end,
Samarin Kipple collected 13 digs while the
Rhaia Davey continued her presence at the net with five total blocks. Paulette added three, matching her season-high in block assists, while
Ellie Foco chimed in a pair.

Similar to Friday night's win at the University of West Alabama, the Blue and Gold strung together long runs to claim the sweep. MC recorded six of the last nine points during the first set to garner a 25-22 victory, including four straight to break a 19-all deadlock.

After using a 6-0 run the second set to dislodge a 15-all tie and grab a 25-19 victory and gain a 2-0 advantage, the Choctaw iced the contest in the final frame as it posted the last five points of the set on the way to a 25-17 win and the sweep. A pair of service aces from Pixley, alongside a block assist from Davey and Foco and a kill from Paulette assisted during the run.

Mississippi College play its final contest of 11 straight away from A.E. Wood Coliseum on Tuesday, Oct. 1, as it travels to Montevallo, Ala., to face the University of Montevallo. First serve at 6 p.m.
