VALDOSTA, Ga. --- The Mississippi College men's golf team finished its three days at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga., with a ninth-place finish and a team score of 931.
 
Linus Doverfors paced the Blue and Gold's efforts as he carded his best round of the tournament on the final day with a 70 and completing his first GSC Championship with a 221 and in ninth place. The Linkoping, Sweden, product opened the tournament with a 73 and added a 78 in the second round.
 
Alexander Topgaard finished tied for 29th as he resembled Doverfors' performance with his lowest, round score on the final day with a 75 and a three-day total of 232. He opened the event with a 77 and followed with an 80 on day two.
 
Jeff Lebeau placed 37th with a tournament score of 238. He closed his action with an 81 as it followed a 79 and 78 in the first two rounds. Caleb Butler finished five strokes back of the Jonestown, Texas, native after an 81 on the final day. He posted an 82 and 80 in the first two rounds and compiled a scorecard of 243.
 
Will Porter became the third Choctaw to post his best round of the tournament on the final day. Porter carded a 78 in the round as it followed an 86 in the opening round and a 90 in the second round. He finished the event with a 254.
 
The University of West Florida and Per Ekelund claimed the tournament titles. UWF finished with an 869 while Ekelund posted a 216. Lee University finished with an 882 and was paced by Oliver Lewis-Perkins, who finished fourth with a 218. Union University finished third (884) while the University of Montevallo's combination of Eric Boutwell and Harrison Hughston finished tied for the second with a score of 217 as the Falcons finished fourth as a team.
