CLEVELAND,Tenn. --- In a hard-fought battle at Walker Arena in Cleveland, Tenn, in the first round of the Gulf South Conference tournament, MC's season came to a close with a 72-60 loss to Lee.
Lee controlled the score after the first half, leading 35-25, yet the Choctaws battled back to make it a 4-point game, 54-50, with just over seven minutes left in the contest.
The Flames went on a 9-3 run over the next couple of minutes to push their advantage back to 63-53, before closing out the final moments on the game to take a 72-60 win over the Choctaws.
Rashad Bolden led the charge with an impressive 31-point performance, in 40 minutes of action with 11 made field goals and 8-of-9 from the free throw line.
MC was supported by Anthony Ratliff Jr.'s 14 points and 10 rebounds, as he capped off his basketball career with a double-double in his final game. Cam Brown added 11 points on his night with four made field goals.
Finishing the season with a 13-16 overall record and a 12-12 record in GSC play, MC capped off their season with back-to-back appearances in the GSC Tournament.
