ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --- The Mississippi College baseball team fell, 4-2, at Henderson State University on Tuesday, March 26. MC moves to 13-15 on the season while the Reddies improve to 17-15.

The Choctaws recorded eight hits in the midweek affair, paced by
Wesley Sides with a pair of hits, including one of two doubles for the squad in the game.
Korey Cooper and
Logan Shurden collected the two RBI.

HSU logged all the runs it needed in the bottom of the fifth as it took the lead from its visitors from the Magnolia State. After Louis Holt knotted the contest at a run each, Kaden Argenbright placed the Red and White up 3-1 with a two-run, single to right field. Luke Rice followed with an RBI single that scored Argenbright and expanded the deficit to three runs.

MC struck first as
Cole Drake crossed the dish in the top of the fourth on a ground out and broke the scoreless stalemate. The Blue and Gold added its second and final run in the top of the sixth as Cooper, who logged the second double of the game in the fourth inning, lifted a ball into left field that scored Sides.

Lane Little (1-2) picked up the loss on the mound as he surrendered all the Reddies' runs on five hits alongside a walk and a strikeout in one inning of relief. The West Monroe, La., native was one of eight Choctaw hurlers to toe the rubber in the contest.

Matthew Herron (1-0) recorded the win. He tossed 1.1 frames in relief and allowed one run on one hit along with two strikeouts. Henry Cooper (4) registered his fourth save of the season as he pitched the final inning with a strikeout and a hit allowed.

Mississippi College returns to action on Friday, March 29 as it travels to Livingston, Ala., for a three-game, Gulf South Conference series. First pitch against the University of West Alabama is set for 5 p.m.
