MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- Mississippi College fell to AUM on the diamond on Saturday by finals of 12-1 and 10-2 in GSC play.
In game one, AUM took a 1-0 lead, before tying the game up at 1-1 when
McCall Lee scored on a Cam Bailey fielder's choice.
AUM went on to score 11 unanswered runs over the next three innings to take the 12-1 win over MC.
Jordan LaFosse had two hits in the game with one double with Lee adding a hit and a double.Â
In game two, trailing 2-0,
Emily Rigney's double to left center drove in
JaKayla Shankle, securing a run for MC.
Then, in the third inning,
Jenny Griggers' single to shortstop brought home
McCall Lee, advancing
Jordan Moore to second and
Caylee Comer to third, further bolstering MC's scoring efforts in tying up the score at 2-2.
AUM went on to score 8 runs over three innings to take a 10-2 advantage on their way to defeating MC to take the series lead 2-0.
