ROME, GA - In an intense Gulf South Conference showdown on Saturday, Mississippi College (MC) secured a hard-fought victory against Shorter, prevailing with a final score of 70-64. Despite trailing at halftime with Shorter leading 31-27, MC rallied in the second half, outscoring their opponents 43-33 to clinch the win.
The standout performance of Rashad Bolden propelled Mississippi College to victory, as he led the team with an impressive 25 points, shooting 5-of-18 from the field and an impressive 15-of-16 from the free-throw line. Additionally, Dekyre Fuller and Anthony Ratliff Jr. contributed significantly, adding 12 points each to the scoreboard.
Despite the challenging defensive efforts by Shorter, MC managed to maintain composure and execute crucial plays down the stretch, securing crucial points from the free-throw line, where they shot an outstanding 89.2% for the game.
