PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The Mississippi College volleyball team fell in straight sets to the University of Alabama in Huntsville in the Gulf South Conference Tournament Semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 23. MC finished the season with a 16-14 mark.

It is the second time in program history a Choctaw squad has reached the tournament semifinals and the first since 2022.

Lydia Paulette totaled 10 kills to lead the way for the Blue and Gold. It marks her 75th career contest in double figures. The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native finished her career as the program leader in kills with 1,368.
Caylin Pixley dished out a team-best 14 assists while
Ali Wiggins added nine and finished her career eight in assists.

Defensively,
Samarin Kipple collected 18 digs while
Julia Sumrall paced the team with three total blocks. The Jackson, Miss., native and former Jackson Prep standout concludes her career in the top five in each career block category.

The squads traded runs and lead changes in all three sets, but the Chargers were able to close both late, using a 5-1 run in the first and a 3-1 spurt in the second to take a 2-0 advantage. In the third, the Blue and White rode the momentum of the first two sets and claimed a 25-18 victory.

With the conclusion of the season, four Choctaw seniors wrap up their careers;

Londyn Bakeris.
