MONTEVALLO, Ala. ---- The Mississippi College women's Soccer team fought a tough battle on the road against the University of Montevallo on Wednesday, Oct. 9, but came up on the short end as it fell, 2-0, at the Varsity Soccer Field on the UM campus.
The Falcons (7-2-1, 6-1 GSC) started the game with Lainey Farabaugh scoring the first goal with assists from Isabel Dillehay and Morgan Goehring in the 19th minute and added its second goal 12 minutes later with Goehring taking the ball down the field and finding the back of the net. The two goals proved the difference in the contest as the two teams had a scoreless stalemate in the second half.
The Choctaw offense produced five shots in the contest with four coming after the intermission. Five different players took shots for the Blue and Gold. UM totaled 13 in the match with eight coming on goal.

The Lady Choctaws (4-2-3, 1-2-3 GSC) will back in action on Friday, Oct. 18 to host the University of West Alabama at Robert P. Longabaugh Field at 1 p.m.
