NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mississippi College's women's soccer team fell short against Trevecca Nazarene University on Friday, losing 1-0 in a closely contested Gulf South Conference match. The defeat dropped the Lady Choctaws to a record of 7-3-3 overall and 3-3-3 in conference play.
The lone goal of the match came in the 36th minute when Anna Farrell scored for Trevecca Nazarene, assisted by Kayelee Maners. Despite a strong effort from the Lady Choctaws, they were unable to find the back of the net.
Mississippi College outshot Trevecca 17-7, with 7 of those shots on target. However, Trevecca's goalkeeper, who made six crucial saves in the second half, proved to be the difference-maker. Jessi Carro, the Lady Choctaws' goalkeeper, recorded one save while allowing one goal.
