CLINTON, Miss. – The Mississippi College men's soccer team lost a hard-fought match to the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) on Sunday, with a final score of 2-1 in Gulf South Conference play. The defeat brings the Choctaws' record to 6-4-1 (4-3-0 GSC), while UAH improved to 2-7-3 (1-6-1 GSC).
UAH opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a goal from Oli Orzechowski, marking his seventh of the season. The Choctaws equalized just before halftime when Denis O. John found the back of the net in the 31st minute, bringing the score to 1-1 at the break.
Orzechowski struck again in the second half, scoring his second goal of the match in the 54th minute with an assist from Kieran Rowe. Despite a strong offensive effort, Mississippi College was unable to find an equalizer in the final 36 minutes.
