CLINTON, Miss. — Taylor Benoit of Mississippi College has been named the Gulf South Conference Runner of the Week for the second time this season, following her performance at the UAH Chargers Invitational on Oct. 13.

The junior finished 15th in the women's 6k race with a time of 21:26.6, the fastest among all GSC runners in the event. Benoit's efforts also helped lead the Lady Choctaws to a 14th-place finish out of 34 teams.

Benoit previously earned the GSC Runner of the Week award on Sept. 25, underscoring her consistent performance throughout the season.

Other nominees for the award this week included Lucy Barker from Alabama Huntsville, Meghan Turner from Christian Brothers, Natalie Warner from Montevallo, and Skylar Grant from West Florida.
