CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College improved to 8-0-1 overall on the season on Friday, defeating Delta State 6-0 at Robert P. Longabaugh Field.

From the opening whistle, Mississippi College took control, maintaining possession and creating numerous goal-scoring opportunities. .
The scoring action began at the 18:17 mark when
Guilherme Santos found the back of the net, assisted by
Alemu Mercer.
Jayce Dotson continued the onslaught at 43:36 with a goal, assisted by
Sergio Garrido.
Dotson struck again at 48:14, this time assisted by
Joshua Davies.
Guilherme Santos added another goal at 50:15, with an assist from
Kento Tani.
The scoring frenzy continued with
Jorge Areces  finding the net at 69:35, assisted by
Brady Jacobs.Â
Joseph Moore contributed the final goal at 79:14, sealing a dominant victory for MC.
Mississippi College outshot Delta State 21 to 6, with 9 of their shots on goal.Â

With the victory MC improves to 8-0-1 overall and 4-0-1 in GSC play. They take two weeks off of action before returning to the pitch on October 13 where they take on West Alabama in Livingston, Ala. at 7 p.m.
