Logue Set to Compete at NCAA South Regional

CLINTON, Miss. --- Mississippi College's JJ Logue sets his sights on an individual regional title as he competes in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf South Regional in Davie, Fla., at Grande Oaks Golf Club, May 11-13.

The South Region will be paired with the Southeast, with play held at Grande Oaks Golf Club located in Davie, Fla. At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals, May 22-26 at Avalon Lakes in Warren, Ohio.

This marks the second regional appearance for the Belfast, Northern Ireland, native. He is one of eight individuals selected to compete as an individual in the regional and one of three from the Gulf South Conference. He joins Union University's JJ Zimmer and Pongbhop Jamornsrianan from Delta State University.

Logue, who garnered All-GSC First Team laurels this season in a vote by the conference's head coaches and the second of his career in the Blue and Gold, shot a 227-last season in Valdosta, Ga., and finished tied for 87th overall on the individual leaderboard.

The senior linkster led the Choctaw at the GSC Championships as he shot a 214 and tied for eighth overall. He ranks 73rd in the nation.

Logue tees off on Thursday, May 11 at 8:50 a.m. on hole 15 at Grande Oaks Golf Club.
