MOBILE, Ala. --- Mississippi College wrapped up the 2023 GSC Tournament on Tuesday finishing 7th overall in Mobile, Ala. The championship, hosted at the par-72 Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course, saw JJ Logue finish tied for 8th place with a score of 214, followed by Jeff Lebeau at 18th place with a score of 219. Adam Murphree tied for 36th place with a score of 228, while Bryson Jones tied for 41st place with a score of 230. Grant Mahaney rounded out the team's performance at 49th place with a score of 242.
West Florida held on to win the Gulf South Conference Men's Golf Championship, as they maintained a three-shot advantage over second-placed Shorter. Lee and Montevallo held third and fourth places respectively.
The average score for the par-3 holes for Mississippi College ended with a score of 3.38, tying them for seventh place with Montevallo. In the par-4 category, West Florida scored the lowest average of 4.00, Shorter and Montevallo came in second and third with 4.09 and 4.10 respectively. Mississippi College scored an average of 4.19, placing them in sixth place in this category.
In the par-5 category, Mississippi College players shot an average of 5.03, putting them in tenth place. In the individual player standings, Mississippi College's Jeff Lebeau and Garrett Mahaney both shot an average of 3.33 on par-3 holes, putting them in joint 14th place. Lebeau also scored an average of 3.33 on par-4 holes, while Mahaney's average score on par-4 holes was 3.42.
Mississippi College wrapped up the 2023 season after the conclusion of the event.
